SLA Toronto Chapter invites you to an interactive workshop on collaboration and knowledge management, facilitated by Knowledge Workers Toronto’s Stephanie Barnes. This workshop will introduce you to Knoco Ltd’s copyrighted “Bird Island” exercise, which demonstrates three separate Knowledge Management processes, each of which delivers measurable performance benefits. This workshop will guide participants in exploring concepts such as experiential learning and contribution, collaboration and team-building, design mentality, innovation and creativity, and will provide an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues from all sectors across the information profession.

Light refreshments will be provided.

About Our Presenter:
Stephanie Barnes brings over 20 years of successful, progressive experience in Knowledge Management and Accounting in the High Technology, Health Care, and Public Accounting sectors, with abilities in Strategy Execution, and Change Management, as well as Project Development, Implementation, and Team Development. She has developed and executed a Knowledge Management vision and strategy as well as obtained management and organizational support for the initiative. As Principal at Missing Puzzle Piece Consulting, Stephanie conducts Business-IT Alignment consulting, focusing on Enterprise Content Management systems. She has been doing Knowledge Management work for more than 12 years, is the Knoco Ltd. franchisee for Canada, and recently published “Navigating the Knowledge Management Technology Maze” with Ark Group. Stephanie graduated from Brock University with a BBA in Accounting and McMaster University with an MBA in Information Technology, is ITIL Masters Certified and has a Business Systems Analysis Certificate.
